The Pharmacy Technician training program will prepare students for employment as a Pharmacy Technician in community, hospital, and nursing home pharmacies, or anywhere a pharmacist is dispensing medication. Upon satisfactory completion of the program including approximately 240 hours of experimental training, the student is more prepared to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) test to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. This training is appropriate for those who have completed the HiSET/GED or High School Diploma and have never been convicted of a felony. Students will need to apply and meet prerequisites to be eligible to take this course.
